Dr Rick Lewis is primarily a practitioner of mentoring, serving around 70 senior Christian leaders in Australia, the UK, Europe, Asia and North America. In addition, he offers consulting services to churches in Australia and the UK, speaks at conferences on matters related to ministry and mission, and conducts retreats for spiritual reflection and strategic planning. Rick is the owner of Anamcara Consulting in Australia, Chair of the Australian Christian Mentoring Network leadership committee, and a member of the European Mentoring and Coaching Council. He holds a Doctor of Ministry degree from Fuller Theological Seminary, having conducted action research into mentoring processes for pastors. He teaches regularly at several theological colleges in Australia, the UK and Albania and runs training seminars for Christian organisations and churches. Rick was a local church pastor with Churches of Christ for 30 years before transitioning to an itinerant, freelance ministry in 2011. In addition to mentoring, Rick’s areas of interest include resilience for leaders, missional spirituality, discipleship, leadership and Christian community. His first book, Mentoring Matters, published in 2009, deals especially with formal, structured mentoring for Christian leaders.
