Spiritual and Religious Interventions

This unit will enable students to explore the ethical use of Spiritual and Religious Interventions in a Professional Christian Counselling context.

Learning outcomes

Upon successful completion of this unit, students will be able to:

  1. Demonstrate an understanding of the ethical application of Spiritual and Religious Interventions in a diverse Australian Context;
  2. Reflect on own use of Spiritual and Religious Interventions as a Professional Counsellor;
  3. (Level 2) Evaluate the use of at least one Spiritual or Religious Intervention from a theological, psychological, ethical and personal perspective;
  4. (Level 3) Evaluate the use of at least two Spiritual or Religious Interventions from a theological, psychological, ethical and personal perspective.

Assessment:

Essay (1250 words) 50%
Case Study (Level 2: 1000 words, Level 3: 1500 words) 50%
