Library Policies

The Campbell Edwards Library is open to all students of the Stirling Theological College, all students of the University of Divinity and reciprocal borrowing rights apply to all students of Eastern Theological College.  Stirling Students also have borrowing rights at all other libraries of the University of Divinity in which they are bound by each library’s borrowing policies.

Ex-students, Churches of Christ Ministers and members of the general public are free to use the library but a membership fee applies to gain borrowing rights. Please contact the Librarian for rates.

Borrowing:

Undergraduate students may borrow up to 8 books at a time for a period of 3 weeks.  Post-grad students can borrow 12 books for 4 weeks.

Renewals:

To allow for equitable access to resources, renewals are not permitted.

Returns:

Return books directly to the library during business hours, or through the after-hours chute if the library is closed.  Please avoid lending your library books to someone else or relying on another person to return your books.

Overdue Charges:

Books returned after their due date will incur an overdue fine of 50c per book per day until the items are returned.  Overdue reminder emails are sent periodically, but the onus is on the student to return items on time.  Excessive fines may result in library privileges being suspended.

Copyright:

Students are bound by current copyright regulations when copying from library books.  A copy of the regulations can be found near the photocopiers.
