9 Aug | Safe Church Awareness Workshop
Be trained and equipped to ensure your church is a Safe Place for everyone. CCVT recommends that all leaders and volunteers including pastors, elders, deacons, leadership teams, ministry leaders, pastoral carers and those working with children, youth, or vulnerable adults attend a Safe Church Awareness Workshop as a pre-requisite to ministry in the local church.
- Foundations and principles of a safe church
- Protecting vulnerable people—definitions, indicators, and response procedures
- Information about training, recruiting, and supervising safe leaders
- How to establish and run safe environments for church ministry programs
Safe Church Awareness Workshops are facilitated by trained presenters, hosted by local churches, and attendance is recognised by members of the National Council of Churches in Australia Safe Church Training Agreement.
